Stable multiples among Dutch SME's

Brookz' bi-annual Dutch SME acquisition barometer has published H2-2021 multiples. It shows that multiples remained stable, mainly in deals below EUR 10 million, which accounted for about 84% of all results.

  • The half-yearly study shows a 4% increase in the number of sales transactions between EUR 0.5 and 30 million compared to the first half of 2021.

  • Most acquisitions are still in the 'business services' sector, but construction, IT services and software development remain dominant with a total share of 45% of all transactions. 

  • The average EBITDA for H2-2021 stabilises at 4.85 (as for H1-2021).
